On Friday, November 19th, the staff of Athena Study Abroad volunteered at a Discovery Shop in Columbus, Ohio. The American Cancer Society is on a mission to "celebrate more birthdays" and the team of Athena decided to help them out by boosting the business at upscale shops during the busy holiday. All of the money raised is donated to the cause!

Holy Family Soup KitchenOn the morning of September 9, 2010, Team Athena headed to a downtown Columbus soup kitchen. Holy Family Soup Kitchen started in the 1970s with the aim of helping feed the area's hungry and homeless. Today, over 700 hot meals are served each weekday.

On Friday, July 2, the staff of Athena volunteered with Gracehaven. Gracehaven is a faith-based non-profit organization started in 2008 for the expressed purpose of providing shelter, security, and rehabilitation to girls under the age of 18 who are victims of commercial sexual exploitation in central Ohio.

Mid-Ohio Foodbank On Friday, April 23rd, the staff of Athena Study Abroad volunteered at the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. The Foodbank is dedicated to feeding hungry people by collecting and distributing food and grocery products, educating the community about hunger, advocating for hunger-relief programs, and collaborating with others who address basic human needs.
