ACADEMIC PROGRAM INFO
SCHOOL: LORENZO de' MEDICIAthena and its partner school Lorenzo de' Medici (LdM) offers a unique educational option: a small, personal campus in a big city. The mission is to give students a quality academic experience that will open their minds to a new way of thinking through their exposure to the city. Students are nurtured throughout their academic program by close, one-on-one attention with school staff and faculty. The school promotes and facilitates cultural exchange with local people, and continually works to ensure an all-absorbing experience of growth and discovery through academic and cultural development. Students have the opportunity to collaborate with a wide variety of professionals as well as several national and international institutions located throughout Rome.
FACILITIESAthena's Rome campus is located in the center of this historic city. The facilities form part of an elegant Umbertine palace constructed at the end of the 19th century. The building has been redesigned to provide modern and functional rooms that include studios and classrooms. Many of the principal sites and monuments of Rome such as the Spanish Steps, the Quirinale, and the Trevi Fountain are within walking distance of the facility. This central location can be easily reached from any part of the city by public transportation. LdM is less than five minutes away from the central rail station (Termini) that services both airports. LDM is equipped with modern computer and language labs, comfortable classrooms and knowledgeable faculty. One of the primary missions of the Lorenzo de' Medici School, which has been operating its main campus in Florence for more than 30 years, is to promote global education through authentic cultural immersion programs and a diverse international student population.
